First day of school 8/7/2014

First day of school for Gage, Colt, and Cade! In case you can't read the signs here's the info.  Gage was 8 and going into 3rd grade, Mrs. Pam Taylor's class at IES. Colt was 4 and starting Private Kindergarten at Primrose with Mrs. Bethany (Mrs. Mac to the kids), and Cade was just starting his curriculum from EP2 even though he moved up this past summer.

And this is where the meltdown started....

Desoto Caverns 8/5/14

The Explorers at Primrose took their final field trip to Desoto Caverns in Childersburg.  I was fortunate enough to be a parent chaperone this time as well. It is a really neat place with lots of stuff for the kids to do. We had a great time!

Dixie Fish Company

We celebrated Bryan's 37th birthday 8/2/14 at Dixie Fish Company. We all enjoyed our meals!

Daytona July 2014

Our "mostly annual" trip to Daytona was fun as usual. We rented a condo just a few blocks down the beach from Dad and the Etheredges. We met up several times for meals. Colt finally decided after a day that he indeed did like riding the waves in the ocean like Gage. Mom even got to try a few times. We were across from the no drive part of the beach which was nice because I didn't have to worry as much when they wanted to go back to the beach chairs.  We played putt putt one night. Bryan and Gage went to Daytona Speedway and did the tour one morning. And the tropical storm passed through but was mainly just rain on us for a day. The condo we stayed in for this visit was great. The only thing we were missing was mom on this trip. She was at the NEA conference.
No one was more ready to hit the beach than Cade!

Cade loves holding Eli

Beautiful sunset during supper at Deck Down Under, our favorite spot

Cade loved some cantelope from the farmers market!

Cade finally got in on the nightly card playing with dad. He was so into it!

Beautiful view of the intercoastal waterway from our condo.

Percy, the rooster, is a Primrose friend that kept popping up in pictures. He was supposed to show where we went this summer.

Huge bug, we think a grasshopper, that we saw along the sidewalk coming back from the beach.

Eating over the ocean at Crabby Joes for lunch.

View from our seats at Crabby Joes.

Tired of pictures

Sunset view from last dinner spot we found.

Colt was staring at all the hundreds of fish at the dock waiting to be fed fries, bread, anything except pickles.

Cade loved the calamari we had as an appetizer. And he ate everything  he tried this week.

Storm rolling in. We left from eating outside just in time.
